A Long Overdue Part Deux

Ok, so these postings might not be as frequent as I had initially intended. Then again, how often do my projects actually play out as I imagine them to?

Wow, where to begin...

Montreal has surpassed any and all expectations I had ten times over. The city is accessible and easily navigated on foot or public transit (forget about attempting to drive around here), there are always things going on and are often free to the public (free Arcade Fire concert in a park near my apartment!), the locals are incredibly friendly, the streets are clean, the nightlife is exciting and the overall vibe of the city is representative its creative and free-thinking inhabitants.

One a more personal level, I could not be more pleased with my classes and internship. History class is a visit to Old Montreal to learn about the French, English and "American" (post-Revolutionary War U.S.A.) influences on this historically multicultural city. Science class is a trip to the Biodome to observe various exotic and domestic ecosystems in exhibits that make you forget you're in an urban part of Canada and not some undiscovered section of a South American rainforest. French class has certainly been the most challenging, but also one of the most rewarding when I am able to slowly understand more and more of Montreal's native tongue.
